11 April 2016

The NLIS Hub has delivered over 23 million official electronic conveyancing searches since 2001

Today, the National Land Information Service (NLIS) celebrates its fifteen year anniversary. Since its launch in 2001, the NLIS Hub has delivered more than 23 million official, electronically sourced conveyancing searches through its channels to solicitors and licensed conveyancers throughout England and Wales.

The NLIS Hub is unique in that it is the only regulated conveyancing searches Hub electronically connected to every local authority in England and Wales, the Land Registry, the Coal Authority, water companies and other sources of land and property information.

Jan Boothroyd, Chief Executive of Land Data, the company which owns and regulates the NLIS Hub and channel licenses comments: “We’ve seen a lot of changes in the conveyancing searches market in the past 15 years and throughout this time the NLIS business model has held its own and remained strong. As the property market continues to improve, I am confident NLIS will continue to grow and evolve and that the best is yet to come!”
