Index NLIS channel goes live

03 May 2017

Index is the third live NLIS Channel alongside SearchFlow and Thames Water Property Searches.

Land Data, the National Land Information Service (NLIS) regulator, has today announced the Index NLIS channel is now fully operational.  Land Data awarded a NLIS channel license to Index, a conveyancing search provider, last year. The company joins the two existing live NLIS channels, SearchFlow and Thames Water Property Searches in providing authoritative electronic land and property information through NLIS to the conveyancing profession.

Index is the fastest growing independent property search provider in the country.  Launched in 2010 the company now has 22 local offices across England and Wales. Index supply conveyancers with a wide range of land and property searches.

The Index business model has been built on providing a bespoke personal service local to the conveyancer while embracing modern technology at every step of the conveyancing search process.  With direct connectivity to NLIS, all of the company’s offices now have access to the only regulated electronic land and property information portal in the market.

Jan Boothroyd, Chief Executive of Land Data comments: “These are exciting times for NLIS and we are delighted to have a third NLIS channel fully operational, providing authoritative electronic searches. Demand for regulated, electronic searches is strong and we look forward to working with Index as a NLIS channel partner.”

Anne Lucking, Managing Director of Index comments:  “We are delighted to become the third live NLIS channel. We see this as a positive step to becoming the largest independent provider of searches in the UK within the next 12 months.”

NLIS was established 16 years ago and is the only government approved and regulated electronic land and property searches portal in the market.
