Most Improved NLIS Services

This award category is for the Local Land Charges department that has made the most improvement to its service between 31 October ’17 and 1 November ‘18.

As this award uses reports from the NLIS Hub, local authorities are encouraged to keep their figures on MyNLIS up to date, the data will be used in the event of a tie.

Award entries will be judged by the NLIS Hub and Land Data who will use NLIS Hub data to consider some or all of the following criteria: 

  • The most improved turnaround performance (i.e. the best improvement on the time it takes to return the search to the customer). The NLIS Hub will be asked to provide this information. The most improved LAs will then be contacted for the information below – merging the information will produce the top 10 ranked LAs
  • The highest increase in the percentage of electronic search volumes versus other search types (i.e. paper, personal searches or email). LAs will be asked to provide this information after receipt of the NLIS Hub shortlist.
  • Moving from paper to electronic returns (electronic not emailed returns)
